About Employer: The ASRB (Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board) was formed in the year 1973. The formation of this organization took place as an independent agency involved in the recruitment for the posts related to ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) to follow the recommendations of the Gajendragadkar Committee. The main objective behind the establishment of ASRB was to conduct the recruitment processes for the various Agricultural Research Services (ARS) in ICAR from time to time as per the requirements and specifications of the head of the organization. The organization also conducts the highly renowned National Eligibility Test (NET) for the purpose of recruitment to the various teaching positions in agricultural universities and colleges.
    

ASRB Recruitment 2013 – Vacancy Details

ASRB will be conducting a process for the recruitment of suitable and efficient candidates for the various vacancies related to the agricultural science field in the country. The various vacancies are related to the position of Scientist in the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) of the ICAR. The most important part of the whole recruitment process would be the Agricultural Research Service Examination, which will be held to judge the aptitude of the candidates for the available positions.
  
The total number of vacancies for the available position is 431 and these vacancies have been divided among the numerous disciplines in which the candidates will be employed.

Eligibility Criteria for ASRB Recruitment Project

The lower and upper age limit for the available vacancies is 21 years and 32 years respectively. The relaxations on the upper limit of age would be as per the instructions of the government for the candidates belonging to the reservation categories.
 
The educational qualification required to be eligible for the positions is that the candidates should be having a Master’s degree or any equivalent qualification in the relevant discipline for which they want to apply.

Selection Procedure for ASRB Recruitment 2013

The candidates who get shortlisted on the basis of their educational qualification, age, etc. would be required to appear in the Agricultural Research Service Examination (ARSE). The candidates who qualify this written exam would be facing a viva-voce/interview round for the final selection decision.

The candidates need to attach their photograph with the form and put it in an envelope superscribed as “Application for ARS Examination-2012”.
