Applications are invited against Advertisement No. NTS-1/2013 from suitable qualified persons for appointment for the following posts:

         
1. Secretary, University Classes - 1 (one) post (Permanent)
2. Controller of Examinations - 1 (one) post (Permanent)
3. Director, College Development Council - 1 (one) Post (initially for a period of 5 years)
4. Research Officer - 1 (one) post (Temporary on Contractual Basis) in G.U. Institute of North East Studies (GUINES)

Application form: Prescribed application form, the details of qualifications & other are available in the University website www.gauhati.ac.in the candidates may download the application form from the above website. Application in any other form will not be accepted.

Application fee & Last date: Candidates for the post No. 1, 2 & 3 will be required to pay an amount of Rs. 1000/- (in case of SC/ST Rs. 500/-) and for post No. 4 Rs. 500/- (in case of SC/ST Rs. 250/-) by Demand Draft in favour of “Registrar, Gauhati University” payable at SBI, G.U. Branch as an application fee for each post. Completed applications in the prescribed form along with necessary enclosures must reach “The Registrar, Gauhati University, Guwahati - 14 latest by 30.03.2013. Candidates willing to apply for more than one post must apply separately with application fee for each post.

Two copies of application with all testimonials are needed to be submitted.

Those in employment should submit their applications through proper channel.

Candidates will have to appear before the Selection Committee for an interview at their own cost when called for. Mere fulfillment of academic qualifications will not entitle a candidate to be called for interview.
